Selecting your tarot deck is an essential part of your Tarot journey. However, this can be an overwhelming task, as there are hundreds of different Tarot decks to choose from with their individual energy, narrative, symbolism, mythology and design.
This course uses the Rider Waite deck. It is universally recognised and popular. I selected this deck for this reason so that it is familiar to you while you are learning the cards. However, my deck of choice is the Julia-Sharman Burke’ Mythic Tarot Deck’. This deck is not as well known. However, I love the imagery, and this is the deck I use. Tarot decks are a very personal choice.
I also subscribe to the tradition of having my decks gifted to me. However, not all readers support this tradition. Therefore, it is entirely your choice to purchase or be given your deck and your first mission as a budding reader!
